NICK GULLATTA'S BIOGRAPHY

Nick Gullatta nickgullattaracing.com is a third generation racer from Cleveland, Ohio.  After graduating high school, he entered the US Navy, where he served as an aviation electronics technician, responsible for troubleshooting F/A 18’s and A-7 aircraft.  After his Naval service, he earned a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Akron.  During his college career, he raced 410 Sprints, Late Models, Vintage Sprint Cars and a variety of road-race cars. 

Nick is widely recognized as a top level driver with exceptional race savvy, car control and technical feedback, and is comfortable with competitors and sponsors alike.  As a trained engineer, Nick is able to offer detailed technical feedback on vehicle setup and handling that is beyond the scope of a typical driver.

Professional Test Driver/Development Engineer, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, 01/99 - present

·        Lead Driver on Formula and Sports Car Bias Race/Radial Tire Development

·        Tire Development Engineer on all Ford SVT, GM Original Equipment (OE) account programs

·        Directly involved in all tire/vehicle development of the FORD GT, SHELBY GT 500, C6 Z06

·        Evaluation of overall (limit handling) vehicle balance on both permanent and temporary road courses

·        Precision/Limit driving for new product launches, test track tours, demos and various media outlets

·        Provide detailed technical feedback to tire and OE design engineers
